The use of different blood collection tubes

The negative pressure of the vacuum tube is used to automatically flow the blood into the test tube. Since blood is collected in a completely closed state, blood contamination can be avoided, which is beneficial to the transport and preservation of specimens. Standard vacuum blood collection tubes use internationally accepted caps and label colors to indicate the use of blood collection tubes.
1. Ordinary blood collection tube. Red cap, no additives in the tube, used for routine serum biochemical tests.
2. Rapid serum tube. Orange red head cover, with a coagulant in the tube, which can activate fibrinogen and make blood coagulate within 5 minutes. It is used for emergency serum biochemistry.
3. Inert separation gel coagulation tube. Golden yellow head cover, inert separation gel and coagulant are added to the tube, which can completely separate the liquid components and the formed components in the blood, and keep the specimen stable within 48 hours. It is suitable for emergency serum biochemistry.
4. Heparin anticoagulation tube. Green head cover, with heparin added in the tube, used for blood gas analysis in biochemical tests.
5. Plasma separation tube. The light green head cover is filled with inert separation gel and lithium heparin anticoagulant, which can quickly separate plasma and can be used for electrolyte determination and other plasma biochemical tests.
6. Potassium oxalate/sodium fluoride anticoagulation tube. Gray cap, the tube contains potassium oxalate: sodium fluoride is 3:1, sodium fluoride can inhibit the decomposition of blood sugar, mainly used for blood sugar measurement.
