Blood collection procedure

Blood sampling procedures are critical to the preparation of laboratory tests.
Operation sequence:
1.Prick the scalp needle into the vein after the skin is disinfected;
2. After seeing the blood return, puncture the rubber stopper of the blood collection tube with a puncture needle, and the blood will flow into the test tube automatically;
3. After the blood flow is disconnected, three drops of blood will reach the marked amount of the blood collection tube. If multiple blood tubes are needed, the puncture needle can be pulled out and inserted into another blood collection tube;
4. After the blood collection, pull out the scalp needle first, and then pull out the puncture needle at the end of the test tube after the blood stops. See Figure 1, Figure 2, and Figure 3.

Precautions:
1. The latex sleeve on the rubber plug puncture needle can prevent blood from dripping and cannot be removed during blood collection;
2. The puncture needle must be punctured vertically from the center of the rubber stopper of the blood collection tube;
3. For multi-tube blood collection, the sodium citrate tube must be the first tube for blood collection;
4. The volume of the blood collection needle tube is 0.4ml, and the puncture needle can be pulled out in advance when the blood collection is multi-tube;
5. After blood sampling, the anticoagulant tube must be moved up and down 6-7 times in time, and the movement is gentle;
6. After the scalp needle is pierced into the vein, the hand can be released to invert the blood collection tube.

Recommended collection sequence for multi-tube blood collection:
Coagulation blood vessel-→ blood routine tube -> erythrocyte sedimentation tube -> biochemical tube. Note: The blood routine tube must be collected in the second tube anyway (the blood routine is the third tube when the blood culture is the first priority), except for the blood routine item in this blood collection. All blood collection tubes should be slightly inverted 1~7 times after blood collection, without shaking.
