FAD for inoculation needles and loops

1.Why use inoculation needles and loops?
The inoculation loop is used to transfer from the liquid medium to the liquid medium or petri dish. The inoculating needle is used to transfer from the solid medium to other solid medium or petri dishes. The inoculating needle is used to remove solid or dense media. The inoculation loop is used to recover the liquid culture medium.

2.What is the purpose of inoculation needles and loops?
Inoculating loops and needles can also be used to sample and transfer small amounts of microorganisms before further analysis, microscopic examination or serial dilution. Some cycles are calibrated and color coded to deliver semi-quantitative inoculum.

3.What type of medium can be inoculated with an inoculation needle?
The inoculation needle is used for deep inoculation of agar. The deep agar medium is stabbed instead of streaked. This technique is used in some biochemical tests where bacteria are placed in a culture medium instead of on the surface.

4.Why is it important to disinfect the inoculation loop?
Flame disinfection of the inoculation loop to prevent contamination of the workbench surface and take into account other people in the laboratory who may use the inoculation loop later. Place the flask in the incubator for overnight growth.
